Journal of Forensic Social Work - Calling for Papers
Electronic Manuscript Submissions:
The Journal of Forensic Social Work invites submissions of scholarly articles and essays dealing with all aspects of forensic social work. The Journal will publish original articles that are theoretical, empirical, practice-oriented, or based on comprehensive reviews of the literature. Submission implies that the manuscript has not been published elsewhere, and is not under consideration for publication by another journal. Author(s) should prepare manuscripts according to the latest edition of the Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association. All manuscripts must include an abstract containing a maximum of 100-150 words on a separate page; list up to six key words on the same page immediately below the abstract. Manuscripts will be reviewed anonymously. Please include a separate “title page” with the submission that provides the author(s)’ name(s) and affiliation(s); identifying information should not appear elsewhere on the submission. Please retain a copy of the manuscript. The electronic version of the manuscript needs to be in MS Word for PC and attached as a file, and e-mail addressed to: ineighbo@hotmail.com, cc to: Jamitche09@wmconnect.com. Manuscripts for full-length articles should not exceed 20 pages, including all references and tables.
Editorial Board & Reviewer Opportunities for NOFSW Members
The Journal of Forensic Social Work is expected to have its inaugural publication in Spring, 2008, as a peer reviewed publication. To support the development and continued excellence of the Journal, we are issuing a call first to NOFSW members who are interested in serving on the Journal’s Editorial Board or as reviewers. The Board must be a working board and we are especially interested in members who:
- Will actively promote and support the Journal, including encouraging library adoptions
- Have experience in editorial board membership
- Are published authors
- Are familiar with APA formatting
- Can timely perform preliminary and final reviews of submitted manuscripts
Reviewers will be expected to review at least 10 manuscripts annually.
We are especially interested in members who:
- Have experience as a reviewer for peer reviewed publications
Are familiar with APA formatting
- Can timely perform reviews of submitted manuscripts.
