In South Carolina, Bond Court is conducted by Magistrate Judges at the County Detention Center. In my County, the Public Defender’s office has a full time MSW employed to provide a Mitigation Plan at the time of the 24-48 bond hearing. Private attorneys are saying there is a need for a Forensic Social Worker in private practice to provide this service for private pay clients. Are there any textbooks, textbook chapters or professional articles that instruct a practitioner like me on how to do this specialization?
